Why We’re Ashamed of Our Own Tools
By The System·March 11, 2026
By day, we swear we "don't really use AI."
By night, we feed it the things that actually keep us up.
We hide the help, but not the panic.
The shame isn't in asking for help.
It's in pretending you didn't.
Tools don't make your thoughts less yours.
They just make them arrive faster, and with fewer scorch marks.
Keep: admitting when something (or someone almost intelligent) made it easier.
Skip: romanticizing struggle as proof that you're serious.
